MRS. SHARMILA BHATTA
AMI INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE
My journey in Montessori education began in 2013 when I did my AMI (Associate Montessori International) diploma for the age level 2.5-6 years. Post diploma, I have worked as a Lead Montessori teacher for age group 2 ½- 6 for four years and as a consultant for the last two years. My work as a Montessori teacher and consultant kept growing my faith over Montessori’s method as an aid to child’s natural development. I have worked with children in India as well as Nepal carrying out several parenting Montessori workshops for new and young parents.
With AMI training in Montessori education, I have learned to observe the behavior and necessity of the child for their natural development. I have attended different refresher courses in Montessori Education in India, United States and Canada. In my undergraduate I have studied sociology as a major subject along with organizing child care services, teaching strategies, developmental psychology and teaching English as a second language. For me teaching, exploring, interacting with children and guiding them on their task is the most exciting thing which makes me satisfied and proud to be a teacher.
I am currently enrolled in Master of Education in Brock University. I am very pleased to be part of Terra Viva Montessori Bilingual School in St. Catherine’s where there is multilingual approach in Montessori Method. I am so glad to see Terra Viva connecting children with nature where there is maximum possibilities of creativity and discovery. I have worked with culturally diverse and multilingual children in India and Nepal and this is another opportunity for me teach, learn and grow along with children in a foreign country . Apart from being Internationally certified Montessori teacher, I am also a mother of a four-and-a-half-year child which has enlarged my knowledge of child’s psychology and development and ever-growing emotional attachment with young children. I look forward to contributing towards children’s development to the fullest at Terra Viva Montessori Bilingual School.
MRS. BRIX JULIO

Montessori Teachers College
I am a native Spanish speaker from Colombia, a physiotherapist by profession, with knowledge in children neurological development. I also possess 5 years of experience treating children on a daily basis, I enjoy teaching with tons of patience and love so I can also learn from them, conversely, I have the charisma, empathy, observation a listening skills needed to better understand the children and it is indeed a great challenge which I take upon with passion and earnest.
I must say that I am very thrilled to have this opportunity here at Terra Viva, as I begin this new path in my life and prepare myself to obtain an Assistant Montessori Certificate with the Montessori Teacher's collage. In addition, I also posses experience as a Forest School instructor in survival methods as I teach what nature provides and how much we can certainly enjoy.
